I booked a Family Suite for 2 adults and 2 children. The suite being two double rooms is completely fine, but one of the rooms was in unacceptable condition. The shower glass screen was broken and missing, yet the room was still rented out with no notification. In its place, the hotel put up a flimsy, torn temporary shower curtain that didn’t fit at all, so water leaked everywhere during the shower. There were two shower gel bottles in the cubicle, but both pumps were broken and nothing could be dispensed. I had to stop mid‑shower and go out to find staff. Even the staff couldn’t get the bottles to work, and when I asked for a replacement, I was told the hotel had no spare shower gel at all. Completely unacceptable.
The air conditioning also didn’t work, and the room had no ventilation. It was extremely hot, stuffy, and uncomfortable. I was told the AC shared a compressor with another room, and if that room used heating, I simply couldn’t have cooling. The only solution offered was to open the window, which meant listening to traffic noise all night.
I spent nearly an hour dealing with staff because the bathroom and AC conditions were unbearable. The hotel staff said they couldn’t help and told me to contact Hotels.com instead. I cannot believe a room in this condition was allowed to be rented out. A very disappointing and frustrating experience.
