Shiny new hotel but not enough thought has been put into the rooms. Not enough plugs around the room and no mirror / plug to use to dry my hair. No kettle in the room - only a coffee maker. Large unused space in the room which could have been used for a table and chair. The extraction fan in the bathroom didn’t switch off at all and sounded like a jet engine if you left bathroom door open. Also the whole “no key” check in didn’t work with the QR Code that i was given so it needed intervention from the staff to get you into their WiFi! Plus point was an exceptionally comfortable bed

I even didn’t stay an hour in the hotel. Workmen were everywhere and the TV in my room had only the worst programs you can dream off. None of the TV aps worked which I was told was the supplier’s fault but he has been informed and this would be sorted as and when possible and, apparently, all the bedrooms (I am talking about the ones ready for customers) were affected. But, as the manager pointed out, this hotel company is not for people who want to enjoy a night in but who want to enjoy discovering London … Unfortunately for me, and customer who have a small child, I am only staying one night for business tomorrow, I am tired and doesn’t fancy discovering London but chill out after travelling all day to come here!! The room would have been OK without this problem, as for customer service … I can understand now why there is the option of paying £5.90 or so for a refund which I applied for at first but then cancelled it as I thought I won’t need it, well, how wrong can you be?

the Drey is a very nice and well put hotel. Easy to access, and close to a lot of places like South Kensington and Brompton area. I love the ease and technology use in checking in and out. There could be more space but for a single traveller its very ideal!

The staff was the highlight of the stay. Very personable and hospitable. The first day of my stay there was no hot water due to a fire alarm being tripped the day before. I appreciated the quick response and explanation. It was out of their hands. Room was very clean. Definitely snug as I booked one of the smallest rooms but it was just me so it worked fine.

We throughly enjoyed our stay. Evidently the hotel is New New, everything is perfect. Even the carpets smelt New. We stayed in a 6 berth, 2 double bunks and a single set of bunk beds, which for 5 of us was perfect. The room itself was large with plenty of space. The accessible shower/WC provided plenty of space. I would urge the management to keep a close eye on the fixtures of the metal bed frames, with frequent use these will become loose and the bed frames will squeak!! The provision of USB both A and C by the side of every bed is a cracking idea. The shelf with the coffee machine could be a little larger, as the machine has to sit sideways! The free water cartons and coffee facilities were a nice touch. My wife made use of the provided hair dryer. Perfectly located near to Earls Court tube station. Some other hotel chains could learn a thing or two regarding the bunk beds for larger family groups without the need to purchase 2 rooms with an adjoining door. We would definitely consider staying again when the time comes.
