Location Central in Seminyak. Forget the free breakfast. Comfort bed & beautiful gardens & common pool. Shared fridge & kitchen area ground floor of villa. Shared pool for 3 villas or use nicer common pool area. Toilet doesn't flush. Good sized bathroom.
Hotel is in great condition and the location is good. The rooms are large and clean. The staff is extremely friendly. Only drawback is there is no WiFi in the rooms, and the roofs are made of thatch so you can hear your neighbors easily.
Our room is beautiful and walks out straight into a deck with the pool and outdoor connecting area that consists of the lounge and kitchen. The bathroom and living space is run down but still functional at Villa 170. Service is very efficient and quick to act, staff are friendly and always saying hello when they see you. The location is amazing for those who want to be in the centre to everything. Room service food could be improved but not a big deal as there are restaurants as soon as you walk out of vicinity.
We were booked to go into a deluxe double room with shared pool only to find on check in that it was a share villa with two other bedrooms and shared kitchen bathroom and lounge.
We were also informed that if we wanted a private villa it would be $100 Australian per night.
We did not stay.
We were very disappointed.
Great location, great service, breakfast in the Villa. Private pool. You can see that the Villas were once top class, but are a lttle bit rundown, Wouldn't take much to bring back to new. Didnt affect quality of stay.
We had an amazing stay the Amasya Villa's during the Christmas period! We have already discussed that if we return to Bali (either as a couple or part of the group) that we would stay there again.
The things we enjoyed were:
* Amazing location - located on a busy street with lots of food / shopping near by. Despite it being so busy the Villas are tucked down a tropical looking driveway so you're not disturbed by anything. We could not hear any noise from outside during our stay.
* Villas looked beautiful - The villa we stayed in was super pretty with lots of lush vegetation around it and a giant frangipani tree that left lovely flowers floating in our pool. The staff cleaned the outdoor area daily which included getting any leaves out of the pool.
* Staff were lovely - We had breakfast every day (if you get the breakfast package you just order each day at the front desk) and the staff who came to cook for us were very lovely and not intrusive at all.
* Air-conditioning - Coming home to air-conditioning every day was amazing. The staff always left it on for us after they cleaned our rooms so we came back to a lovely cool bedroom.
Some of the less great things were:
* Mosquito bites - If mosquito's are a make-or-break for you then I don't advise staying in a villa anywhere, especially one with a pool. Staff did their best to address mosquito's by providing coils for us daily. The room also has an amazing mosquito canopy / net around the bed.
Was not renovated as advised. Pool had algae and not clean, with waterfall not working. No shampoos refilled, no iron in room, no bottled water (always had to ask), no soap refilled. Towels plentiful. Breakfast was poor. But, hay, staff were friendly and helpful when asked and the resort is wonderfully located, albeit tired.
Awesome first 5 days - then a squad of young guys and gals moved into the next Villa - partying till 5am! The staff did what they could but made our last 4 nights challenging - we eventually got a Villa switch - but was closer to road. Parties or traffic noise? Staff were very kind and the Villas driver was fantastic.
Great location, a bunch nice restaurant just across the road. But often quite hot (even with air cond). Hot water shower is not consistent. Door bell should be loud enough to be heard in the bedroom.
