Great Stay! I was a little concerned with past reviews but figured out that the bad reviews were from the previous hotel. This is a newly taken over Home 2 and what you’d expect from a great Hilton family! It is exactly what we were looking for! Beautiful Oceanfront room with a balcony, kitchenette and easy parking! Room was clean and staff was amazing! We will be back anytime we are in the Outer Banks area!

Staff was worthless!!! Hotel is run down and they give zero cares from manager down. Cheapest breakfast available in the smallest area possible . There was no shampoo in the shower and door wouldn’t lock. The pool view rooms provide a nice annoying clicking noise all night from some machine out there by pool. Worst part, bad coffee in both lobby and room. Save your money and spend almost 400 /night somewhere that cares.

Helpful staff. - few steps away from the beach. - big and spacious rooms with a separate sitout/living. - free breakfast, parking and wifi Bad: - the floors below 3rd floor dont really have any ocean views. U need to take higher floors for a good view of the beach and the ocean. Else u get partial view of the ocean and see a lot of sand mounds view blocking the beach.

I made reservation for ocean view but was given accommodation in room2111 which hardly have any ocean view due to sand dune. I asked the staff to change the room but they insisted that according to Hilton’s survey it is considered an ocean view. Only adults when they raise their feet can see Ocean view. As someone mentioned earlier in reviews this is an old hotel taken over by Hilton and renovated. elevator was very slow and the door of elevator was hand painted. With the price it was charged it looked awful. I guess due to flowing traffic in the area the staff hardly care about customer satisfaction. Breakfast was pretty ordinary. I guess this was the best of all worst choices we have in the area.

No problems with checking in - the guy was very nice and helpful. The hotel was only open for three months after being closed for a year and a half for remodeling. We were on the first floor (the elevator was broke, which didn't affect us) away from the lobby and had no noise issues, though we got there later and were getting up earlier. The hotel is right next to the beach with a short walking path through the dune at the corner of the property. Our room was a 2-full bedroom with a sofa bed. It would have been nice if there were 2-queen beds available as at other Home2 Suites, but the 6 of us made do. There were a couple of water bottles waiting for us in the room, and it was clean. It was bright and modern decorated, as we expected with Home2. We had a full window wall with a door going to a small fenced-in patio. The door was tricky to lock and the blackout curtain left a gap that sunlight came in through the morning and woke me up a little earlier than I would have liked. The shower had an upper head and a lower wand, but the hole for the wand was cut bigger than the backing and fairly visible - a potential mold issue down the road. I slept on the sofa bed - I could feel the bar, but was able to sleep. The room was cold enough. Breakfast was great, though served in a small room that felt too crowded. Waffle station, muffins and bagels, grits, and a great hot section with bacon, sausages, egg patties, potato wedges, big biscuits, and delicious cheesy spinach danishes.

Room was clean, and spacious enough for the five of us. It worked out great until we went to sleep. The hallways are filled with the bright, white, LED lights. If you know anything about having trouble sleeping, then this hotel will be difficult for you if your bedroom is located near a hallway window. The window coverings do not block the white light from coming in. No matter how much you try to put items in front or clips to hold things together- it was a problem. I called the front desk and all she said was - there’s nothing I can do about it. No offer to switch rooms- the place was NOT full. No empathy. She Would rather me not sleep all night. A woman who already has trouble sleeping - ya know, going through her changes- it’s already rough. The offered nothing. Just deal w it. The next morning I complained about the overnight woman’s lack of assistance and they were like ok sorry about that. We will talk w them. Have a great day. No offer of a discount for being up till 4 am. Not great customer service from either parties. Maybe I should have complained louder.
